How long would it take you to makeover your entire kitchen?

To start off, those who know me, know I love a bright white and airy environment. I am also always looking for how to make my home more efficient or more convenient. Whether it be a self-changing trash can or a robot vacuum, I love my tech toys (and yes, I’ve had both over the years).

The kitchen when we bought it was a warm chestnut color, a simple U shaped kitchen, with a door directly to the outside. Although there were two original windows facing the backyard, they were both too low to the ground to move the kitchen sink and have back facing cabinetry. Because we didn’t want to move all the windows on the back, we kept the breakfast table and re-work the existing layout on the inside wall.

While the kitchen itself felt relatively large for the size and age of the home, when we discussed removing the oven wall there still wouldn’t be enough room for all the appliances and the standing fridge.

To keep the windows and the walls where they were we moved only the wall the fridge was on and switched from a wall oven and a stovetop to a range. Can you guess how many kitchen cabinet layouts we went through with the designer? Or how many designers we went through before we found one that agreed with our layout?
